68 Shichihousan Jinneiin

ご本尊　阿弥陀如来

ご詠歌　笛の音も 松吹く風も琴弾くも 歌うも舞うも 法のこえごえ

2寺同居

同じ境内に、69番観音寺と同居している。

神仏分離令により、神恵院は観音寺の地を借り移転したため、境内に二つが同居している。

2012年に新しい本堂ができた。

御本尊の阿弥陀如来は、四国霊場で唯一掛け軸。

 

Two temples “Living together”
This temple and the 69th temple Kanonji stay here together. Jinneiin was transferred here by borrowing the land of Jinnein due to the law of separation of Buddhism and Shintoism.
A new main hall was built in 2012.
The Amithaba of the principle image is a hanging picture which is only one in Shikoku sacred temples.

琴弾八幡宮

あるとき、海に浮かぶ神船から琴の音が聞こえた。船の上で琴をひく老人が、「われは八幡大菩薩なり、宇佐より来る。この地風光明媚なり、去りがたしと覚ゆ」 と告げ、その神船と琴を山頂にまつり、琴弾八幡宮と号した。

 

Kotohikihachimangu
Once upon a time, the music of Japanese harp was streamed from a boat of deity on the sea. An old man playing the Japanese harp (called koto) on the boat said “I’m a Hachimandaibosatsu coming from Usa. This place is scenic and makes me do not want to leave.” The boat and harp are enshrined on the top of the mountain and called Kotohikihachimangu.

神恵院の納経所はないので、観音寺の納経所で納経する。

 

Kanonji offers a place to offer a copy of a sutra because Jinnein does not.
