53 Sugazan Syochiin Enmyoji

ご本尊　阿弥陀如来

ご利益　家内安全 病気

ご真言　おん あみりた ていせい から うん

ご詠歌　来迎の 弥陀の光の円明寺 照りそう影は 夜な夜なの月

Main deity: Amida Nyorai
Grace: safety for family, illness
Mantra: Om amrla teje hara hum
Poem: because of Amida Nyorai, moon has shade

マリア像が刻まれている小さな塔がある。

江戸時代のキリシタン禁制の頃、信者が密かに信仰を守った。

Small tower has Mary( mother of Jesus).
It was forbidden to believe Christianity in Edo period, but believers follow secretly.

閻魔堂

死者が地獄へ落ちるか天国へ行けるか生前の罪をさばく閻魔大王を祀る。

Enmado
It enshrined Enma Daio who judge the person go to heaven or hell depends on sin during lifetime.

スタール博士の銅板納札

1924年に巡礼したアメリカのスタール博士が、発見した銅板納札がある。

銅板は遍路最古の納経札で1650年に京都からきた遍路により打ち付けられていた。

「慶安三年今日樋口 奉納四国仲遍路同行二人 今月今日京極平人家次」と記されている。

1924,  Frederick Starr ( American academic) found Fudasho made of copper. This copper is the oldest in Henro history which sticked on the wall in 1650 by the two men from Kyoto.
