訶梨帝母天堂

熊野十二社権現の遺構の一つで、鬼子母神、安産祈願の神様。鬼子母神は、他人の子供を食べるインドの女神であったが、釈迦にさとされ、守護神となった。

妊婦は堂周りの石を持ち帰り、無事に出産すると石を2つにして返すという風習がある。

There is Kishimojin and God for easy delivery. Kishimojin is femal demon who eats other children. Later she became Shaka and became protection of children.

Pregnant lady come here to pray easy delivery. They take a stone around the hall. After delivered the child, they come back with 2stones as gratitude.

落書き堂

大師堂の別名。

夏目漱石や正岡子規などのが落書きが残されている。
