第43番札所 源光山 円手院 明石寺

The 43th Genkosan Ensyuin Meisekiji

ご本尊　千手観音菩薩

ご利益　幸福、開運、長寿、延命、夫婦円満、安産

ご真言　おん ばざら たらま きりく そわか

ご詠歌　聞くならく 千手の誓ひ 不思議には 大盤石も 軽くあげ石

女神が願をかけ深夜に大石を山の上まで運びあげていたという伝えがあり、「あげいしじ」と呼ばれていたが、現在は「めいせきじ」と呼ぶ。

There is a story that a god of woman was walking and lightly carrying a large rock in the night. Therefore this temple used to be called “Ageishiji”. Now, it is called “Meisekiji”

しあわせ観音

地下に宇和西国33ヶ所霊場の石像が安置されている。

There are stone statues in the basement from 33 places in Uwa area

十夜ケ橋

次の大宝寺への途中に、大師が端の下で一夜を過ごされたという十夜ケ橋がある。また、仁王門右手には、弘法大師が修行した跡の弘法井戸がある。

Kukai spent a night under the brid ge when he was going to next temple. Right side of the gate, there is a well where Kukai was training.
