第41番札所 稲荷山 護国院 龍光寺

The 41st Inarizan Gokokuin Ryukoji

ご本尊　十一面観世音菩薩

ご利益　五穀豊穣 政教一致 商売繁盛

ご真言　おん まか きゃろにきゃ そわか

ご詠歌　この神は 三国流布の密教を 守りたまらん 誓いとぞ聞く

弘法大師がこの地で白髪の老人と会い、「我、この地に住み、仏法を守護し、諸民の利益にせん」と言い、老人は姿を消した。大師は、この老人こそが稲荷大明神の化身と悟り、五穀大明神の尊像を刻んだ。

Kukai met gray hair old man, and told Kukai “Stay this area, follow Buddhism, and bring benefit to people.” And then he disappeared. Kukai guessed that he was incarnation of Inari Daimyojin. He carved god for huge harvest.

稲荷神社

稲を荷なう、五穀豊穣の神と知られ、農家からは篤い信仰をうけ、種まきあとの虫よけで参拝者が多い。​山門は鳥居で、地元では「三間のお稲荷さん」と呼ばれており、神仏が同居しているのが象徴。

This god carrying rice is famous for rich harvest, especially from farmer and to protect insects after harvest. This temple coexist with Shinto shrine and Buddhism temple.
 

龍の目玉

本堂にまつられている、10センチほどの黒い石。
