第40番札所 平城山 薬師院 観自在寺

The 40th Heijyozan Yakushiin Kanjizaiji

ご本尊　薬師如来

ご利益　安産、病気、厄除け

ご真言　おん ころころ せんだり まとうぎ そわか

ご詠歌　心願や 自在の春に花咲きて 浮世のがれて 住むやけだもの

安産腹帯

大師が霊木で刻んだ南無阿弥陀仏の宝判は、病根を除くことを祈願したもの。宝印を摺りこんださらしを納経所でいただける、安産にご利益がある。

Kukai carved NamuAmidabutsu from spiritual tree and is said to have removed root of illness. You can also buy bleach cotton which good for easy deliver.

心経宝塔

大師が平城天皇の病気平癒を願って、般若心経を奉納した。境内の片隅に平城天皇の遺髪を埋めたと伝えられる五輪の古塔がある。

Kukai enshrined Haniyashingyo (heart Sutra) for praying to care Empror Heijo’s sickness. There is tower inside of the temple where Emperor’s hair was buried.

裏関所

1番霊山寺より一番遠いところにあるため、裏関所と言われている。

​

This temple located the farest temple from 1st temple. That’s why it is called “opposite Sekisho. (check point)

十二支本尊仏

守り本尊である八体仏十二支水をかけて、願いをかける。

​

These are 8main deity and 12 horary signs. Pour water to make wish.
