第34番札所 本尾山 朱雀院 種間寺

The 34th Motoozan Suzakuin Tanemaji

ご本尊　薬師如来

ご利益　安産、五穀豊穣 政教一致 商売繁盛

ご真言　おん ころころ せんだり まとうぎ そわか

ご詠歌　世の中に まける五穀のたねま寺 深き如来の 大悲なりけり

大阪の四天王寺の造営を終えて、帰途の航海中であった百済国の造仏工や寺匠たちの一行の乗っていた船が土佐沖で暴風雨におそわれて、この地に避難した。薬師如来の座像を刻んで海上安全を祈願したのがはじまり。

Korean sculpture and priests finished to build temple in Osaka and were on the way to home. They met a rain storm at Tosa area. They took refuge in this land. They carved YakushiNyorai to pray safety at sea.

底なし柄杓

 

出産をひかえた柄杓を持参して安産祈願を頼むと、寺は、柄杓の底を抜き、祈祷して御札をつけて渡す。妊婦はそれを安産のお守りとして床の間に飾る。

無事出産するとその柄杓を寺に奉納する。子安観音堂はそこの抜けた柄杓がたくさん奉納されている。

Pregnant lady bring a ladle and come here to pray safe delivery. The temple will pull out the bottom of the ladle and return to the lady with good luck charm. She should display the ladle and good luck charm in alcove. After delivered, she come back to dedicate the ladle.

薬師如来

本尊百済の仏師作の薬師如来像は国重要文化財で、一般公開されていない。

毎年旧暦1月20日にご開帳される。

Main deity is made by Busshi from Korea which is not shown to public. It is Natural Important Cultural properties. It will be shown every 20th January of the lunar calendar.

五穀の米

弘法大師が唐から持ち帰った五穀の米、麦、粟、キビ、豆の種子を開設時にこの地にまいたので、種間寺と言う。

Kukai brought Five grains rice (rice wheat, millet, and beans) back from china, and placed it. This is why this temple called Tanemaji (seed).
