廃仏毀釈により、一時期は廃寺になったが、四国霊場の札所として再興した。

「厄除け大師」としても知られ、厄除け参りや、交通安全に霊験がある。

Because of ideology which during Meiji period, produced the destruction of Buddhist temples, images and texts. This temple was closed for a period of time, but revived for Shikoku Henro. It is known as “YakuyokeDaishi”, to prevent misfortune and traffic safety. 

梅見地蔵

目・耳・鼻など首からの上の病気の平癒祈願、学業成就、ボケ封じに霊験がある。

梅の下にあることから、梅見地蔵と呼ばれている。

This Jizo is for healing sickness of eye, ears, and nose, success for exam and senile dementia. Because it located under plam tree, it called “UmemiJizo”.

子安地蔵

子宝に恵まれるように祈願する人たちが信仰に訪れる。

People believe it to be blessed with children.
