第3番札所 亀光山 釈迦院 金泉寺

The 3rd Kikkozan Syakain Konsenji

ご本尊 釈迦如来

ご利益 仏の加護によって悟りが開け、煩悩が消える

ご真言 のうまく さんまんだ ぼだなんばく

ご詠歌 極楽の 宝の池を思えただ 黄金の泉 すみたたえる

 

Main deity   ShakaNyorai

Grace        you will receive enlightenment from Buddha, then worldly passion will disapper

Mantra      Namah Samahta Buddhanambhah

Poem        if you just imagine a treasure pond in heaven, a clear golden pond in your mind

源義経戦勝祈願の寺として、知られる。

行基菩薩が本尊釈迦如来を刻み、堂宇を建立し、光明寺と称していたときに、弘法大師が境内から黄金井の霊水がこんこんと湧き出るのを見て、金泉寺と改められた。亀山法皇も篤く振興され、山号を亀光山と号した。

This temple is known as Minamoto Yoshitune who pray for victory. GyokiBosatsu built this temple and called it Kongomyoji. Later Kukai saw golden well was gushing sacred water out. He renamed it Konsenji.

黄金井の井戸（霊水）

長寿をもたらす黄金井として、黄金地蔵尊とともに知られている。

この井戸をのぞいて顔がうつれば長寿に霊験があると言われている。

 

Golden Well
This well is well known as source of long like as well as Golden Jizo. It said if you looking down the well then your face will show up, it means you will get long life.

 

弁慶の力石

「新平家物語」に登場する弁慶の力石。

平家追討のため屋島へ向かう源義経一行が戦勝祈願のため当寺に立ち寄った。その時に、士気を鼓舞するため弁慶が持ち上げたといわれる。

源平合戦の時、義経は金泉寺で一夜を明かし観音堂で勝運祈願した。

Benkei’s stone
This stone appears in “ShinHeike Story”. The team of Yoshitune Minamoto came here to pray victory before going to battle. Benkei lift this stone up to raise battle spirit.

天満宮

極楽橋のたもとには、祭神菅原道真学問、詩歌、芸能の神をまつる天満宮がある。

Tenmangu

This Tenmangu next to the bridg, is shrine enshrines Michizane Sugawara who because of his great learning during his life time, is worshipped as poem and entertainment.
