真っ縦

戦勝を祈願することを目的に、天照大神など諸神を祀ったのが始まり。

急勾配の山道の神峯山山頂付近に位置する神峯寺は、真っ縦と呼ばれており、遍路ころがしの難所であり、また土佐路の関所寺である。

Originally it was founded as a Shinto shrine which enshrined AmaterasuOmikami for praying victory. Konomineji, also called Mattate (straight up) located top of the mountain passing through steep slope. One of the difficult part in Henro and Spiritual check point in Tosa area.

神峯の水

鐘楼のそばに、神峯の水と呼ばれる霊水が湧き出ている。重病を患った女が、大師が水を飲ませる夢をみたところ、一命を取り留めた。

There is spiritual water next to the bell tower. A woman who had incurable disease had dream that Kukai asked her to drink this water. After that she recovered.
