霊宝殿

平安時代の密教宝具や弘法大師が使っていた金銅旅壇具、銅鐘や壁画が収納されている。

It stores tool for practice which Kukai used, bell and wall painting.

一粒万倍の釜

大師が一粒の米を入れて炊いたら万倍に増え、人々を飢えから救ったと言われる釜。

​

When Kukai cooked a grain of rice with this pot, it became thousands of times so that he could help from poverty.

天狗問答

弘法大師天狗問答と刻んだ石が立っている。この山に住み人々に害を与えた魔性の天狗と問答し、西の方の足摺岬へ追いやった。大師堂は通常南向きであるが、西を向いているのは、天狗が戻ってこないようにするためだと言われている。

Kukai asked and forced to go away a long nosed goblin which lived in the mountain and harmed to people. Usually Daishido is facing toward North, but this is facing toward West not goblin to come back. 

癌封じの霊木　椿

かつてこの椿が元気だったころ、幹にコブがたくさんついており、このコブがガンのようだため、癌封じの椿として名付けられた。

Before this camellia is withered, trunk of it has knot which looks like cancer. Therefore this camellia called “to stop cancer”.
