第20番札所 霊鷲山 宝珠院 鶴林寺

The 20th Reisyuzan Hojyuin Kakurinji

ご本尊　地蔵菩薩　

ご利益　長寿

ご真言　おん かかかび さんまえい そわか

ご詠歌　しげりつる 鶴の林をしるべにて 大師ぞいます 地蔵帝釈

二羽の白鶴

弘法大師が修行中、二羽の雌雄の白鶴が黄金の地蔵菩薩を守護しながら老杉の梢から舞い降りてきた。

境内のいたるところに、鶴の像があり、本尊が降臨した杉の木は、現在も本堂の左手にある。

鶴林寺のご朱印には、鶴の姿が描かれており、鶴と亀を一緒に並べると縁起がいいので、39番の延光寺（高知）の亀の朱印と一対で白衣に朱印をいただく。

When Kukai stayed here and practice, female and male white crane came down to the tree one by one to protect small golden Bosatsu. This tree is still exist next to main hall. You can see white crane everywhere in this temple. Stamp for this temple has crane. Place crane and turtle means good fortune in Japan. It is good to get crane stamp here and turtle in the 39th temple, “Enkoji”. 

本尊の矢傷

猟師塚近所の猟師がイノシシに向かって矢を射て、走るさるイノシシを追ったところ、鶴林寺の本堂の中にある地蔵菩薩の胸に矢があたり血が流れていた。猟師は、日頃の殺生を懺悔したという。

本尊地蔵菩薩の胸には矢傷が残っている。

There is mark of arrow on main deity’s chest. The hunter shoot arrow to a boar, but the arrow stacked Jizo Bosatsu’s chest which was located in main hall. He regretted killing animals.

お鶴さん

「お鶴さん」と呼ばれ親しまれているが、「一に焼山、二にお鶴、三に太龍」と並び称される阿波の難所の一つ。

へんろころがしといわれる標高570メートルの急傾斜の山道の上にある。21番太龍寺と向かい合う位置にある。

This is the second hard part in Tokushima prefecture. This temple located 570m height and the way to the temple is steep slope. It located opposite side of the 21st temple Tairyuuji.
