日照山
遠く鳴門沖までご本尊の後光がさすため、漁民たちはこの光を防ごうと、本尊の前に小山を築いて光をさえぎったことから、日照山と号した。
Nisho Mountain
Lighting from Amida Nyorai could reach to Naruto offshore. Fisherman felt the light was disturbing of catching fish, therefore they made small mountain in front of Main hall. That is why it's called Nisho Mountain.
安産大師
巡礼中の妊婦が産気づいているところ、目の前に弘法大師が現れ、「安心して残りの霊場を巡拝しなさい」とお告げになられた。
そのお告げのまま婦人は結願し、無事出産した。今でも安産祈願をする人で絶えない。
Anzan Daishi (safe deliver baby Daishi)
When pregnant lady was about to deliver baby, Kukai was appeared and said "Don't worry, continue your pilgrimage journey"
She followed his suggestion, and delivered baby safely. Nowadays people come here to pray for safe deliver.
