芸妓お京の黒髪堂

お京という芸妓が夫を殺し、情夫と夫婦になりこの地へ逃れてきた。二人は心中しようとしたが、果てず遍路にでた。

立江寺にお参りにきたところ、お京の黒髪は本堂の鉦の緒に巻きついてしまった。お京は懺悔し改心したところ、黒髪は肉とともにはがれた。

二人は改心して立江寺の近くに住み、地蔵菩薩を念じながら生涯を終えた。

お京の肉のついた髪の毛は、黒髪堂に保存されている。

Long time ago, Okyo who worked as Geisha, killed her husband and run away with lover. They attempted a double suicide, but they decided to do Henro in the end. When they came this temple, her black hair twined around the bell, roped her black hair and head skin peeled off. After all, they lived nearby and prayed Jizoson entire life. KurokamiDo kept her hair with skin as temple treasure.

四国の関所

信仰の度合をはかる所で、四カ所ある遍路の関所として信仰を集める最初の関所。

罪を犯した遍路、邪悪の心を持つ遍路は、懺悔改心しなければ、罰を受け、先に進めない。

また、白鷺橋を言われる参道の九ツ橋で白鷺を見たら、邪心を持つものは渡れず、前途に災難があるという。

This is the first place to judge faith among 4 Sekisho. If one commit crime, or if one has evil mind, those has to be confess and amendment. Otherwise you will get punishment and can’t go forward.
There is bridge called “Shirasage Bashi” in front of the temple. If you see the bird called “Shirasagi”, and have evil mind, you will face to disaster.
