第10番札所得度山灌頂院切幡寺

The 10th Tokudozan Kanjyoin Kirihataji

ご本尊　千住観世音菩薩

ご利益　成仏、除病、長寿、夫婦円満、難産

ご真言　おんばさらたらまきり

ご詠歌　欲心をただ一すじに切幡寺のちの世までの障りとぞなる

修行中の弘法大師は、この地で、機を織って暮らしている貧しい家の娘に、ほろこびた僧衣を縫うため、布をいただきたいと伝えたところ、娘は織りかけていた布を切り分けて大師に差し出した。

大師は厚意に胸を打たれ、願いはないかとたずねた。

仏門に入りたいという娘の願いによって、千手観音の像を刻んで剃髪得度させ、灌頂を授けたところ、娘の身から光明を放って千手観音に化身した。

This is famous for founding story of the poor daughter who wove kimonos. Kukai asked this daughter if he can have kimono for ripped parts. She cut and gave him part of kimono which was in production. He was impressed what she did, and asked her if she have any wish. Her wish was to be a nun. He carved SendeKannon, and she received ceremony to be a nun. Then, her body sparkled 7color and changed to SenteKannon.

即身成仏観音

333段の階段を登りきったところにある本堂には、本堂に本尊千手観音奥伝に、日々つである女人即身成仏観音がある。

本尊は二躰あり、大師作の千手観音は南向き、女人即身成仏の観音菩薩は北向きに安置されている。

Main hall located after 333stairs walked up. It enshrined Sente Kannon which Kukai curved and facing south. Knnnon Bosatsu who was poor daughter before is facing north.

大塔

国重要文化財。

豊臣秀頼が秀吉を弔うために建てられた。

初重と二重の間が方形で、日本唯一の構造様式。

Daitou
Large tower is recognized as a national cultural property, was constructed by Hideyori Toyotomi. The shape between first level and second level is square, which is the only structure you can find in japan.
